Using Boardmaker

Using Challenger

Challenger presents a fun way to pose multiple choice questions to students. The Challenger Interaction allows teachers to create questions and to choose a word (10 letters or less) that the challenger game will incrementally spell after the student successfully answers each question.

Using Concentration

Concentration (2.0.0.14): Allows students to match tiles and answer questions related to the tiles. Tiles associated with correctly answered questions fall away at the end of the game to reveal the underlying, mystery image. Students use the final image as a clue to answer the final question.

Using Crossword

Teachers can create a crossword puzzle from any group of words they wish. Teachers can type in science terms, historical facts, literary expressions or whatever they choose. If a teacher were doing a geography lesson on Quebec City, he/she might type in Plains of Abraham, together with a hint and, optionally, a link.

Using FlashCards

The FlashCards Star Interaction® presents students with a series of cards. Students are required to answer a question or identify an image or animation by typing in text. Correctly answered FlashCards are removed from the deck; incorrectly answered cards are returned to the deck. A deck may contain one card or dozens of cards.

WebQuest (Version 4.2.3) allows teachers to create a graphical view of the web organized around a research topic, a problem or whatever. WebQuest enables students to move from node to node and view the critical information that the teacher wishes the student to glean from the matching site. WebQuest enables students to move from node to node laterally or move deeper into a node and view its related nodes.
